Hisuian Typhlosion raid day happens on Sunday, January 14, from 2-5pm. In this article, we will take a very quick look at whether it sees relevance as a raid attacker.

Main Points

Hisuian Typhlosion, as it is today without Blast Burn, is pretty bad as a fire attacker and mediocre as a ghost attacker. It’s outclassed by many other attackers in both roles, even though it’s not absolutely worthless (especially for those who love it and/or don’t have many other options).

Like the other Hisuian starters, it is possible for Hisuian Typhlosion to receive Blast Burn in a future event, but it’s uncertain if, when and how it will happen. While Blast Burn will be a substantial upgrade for Hisuian Typhlosion and lets it outperform its Johtonian counterpart, it will remain below the likes of Community Day Delphox and many others.

  • The same applies to Shadow Hisuian Typhlosion if it ever becomes a thing.
  • Do note that for raids, the theoretical best use for any Cyndaquil (shadow or regular) will be in its Hisuian form. That is, if you believe we will be able to evolve them one day.
