Regice

Regice – The Iceberg Pokemon

Regice is a member of the Legendary Titans/Golems from Hoenn. These Pokemon all have design elements inspired by Braille, which was incorporated in a puzzle you had to solve to Obtain them in console games.

They are infamous for their incredible defensive stats.

Regice is weak to : Fighting, Rock, Steel, Fire Damage.

Generally speaking, the best counters for it are:
(Legacy) Metagross, Chandelure, and (Legacy) Blaziken.

Regice can be beaten by 3 players in optimal weather, with max friendship and perfect level 40 counters or by 5 unfriended players using level 20 counters from this guide. When caught, Regice will be between 1703 and 1784 cp without a weather boost. In Snow weather, Regice will be between 2129 and 2230 when caught.

Regice In the Meta

Raid Meta – Frost Breath / Blizzard

Regice inherits the poor reputation of the Regis as attackers, but it’s honestly a serviceable Ice-Type. Particularly when it was first released! Up until then all Ice-Types sat on a linear spectrum between Attack and TDO, with Jynx on one side and Lapras on the other. Regice performance broke above that, as the overall best Ice Type when considering both factors.

That said, even that notable performance was still a solid rung below the performance of most other Types, limiting Ice to only being usable when it had double weakness on it side, such as against Rayquaza. In fact, Regice’s performance is so poor that Mewtwo getting an Ice Type charge attack instantly outclassed it even without a quick attack to go along with it. With the release of the Gen 4 Ice types. Regice is now far behind the pack, and is entirely dethroned  from any argument as the best. Mamoswine, in particular is strictly better than it, even when its ground typing puts it at a disadvantage!

That said, Regice is still a decent Ice-Type attacker, but it doesn’t serve any notably niche anymore, and the competition is easier to aquire.
