Terms of Service for Doduno Discord Bot

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding the Doduno Discord Bot (the “Bot”) to your Discord server, or by interacting with any of its commands or features, you (the “User,” “Server Owner,” or “Server Administrator”) are agreeing to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH ALL OF THESE TERMS, YOU MUST NOT INVITE THE BOT TO YOUR SERVER OR DISCONTINUE ITS USE IMMEDIATELY.

Your use of the Bot is also subject to the Discord Terms of Service, Discord Privacy Policy, and Discord Community Guidelines. You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of the Bot complies with all of Discord’s policies.

2. Age Restrictions

The Bot is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. By using the Bot, you affirm that you are at least 13 years of age and meet the minimum age of digital consent in your country, or that your parent or legal guardian has agreed to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Bot Functionality

Doduno is a Discord bot designed to provide information and resources related to Pokémon GO, which may include:

  • Events
  • Raid and Max Battle Bosses
  • Research Tasks
  • Showcase score calculation
  • Other Pokémon-related utility functions.

The Bot’s primary function is to retrieve, format, and display data to Discord channels in response to user commands.

4. Third-Party Data and APIs

  • Data Source: The Bot relies on data sourced from third-party websites, which includes Leekduck.com (via a data aggregation tool like ScrapedDuck) and Pokebattler.com (via APIs and static web data).
  • Disclaimer: The Bot is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or created by The Pokémon Company International, Niantic, Inc., or Leekduck.com. All third-party names, logos, and data are the intellectual property of their respective owners.
  • Accuracy: The owner makes no warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of the third-party data provided by the Bot. The data is provided “as is” and should be verified by the user if critical.

Your use of the bot is also subject to the Pokebattler.com Privacy Policy and Pokebattler.com Terms & Conditions.

5. Acceptable Use Policy (Bot Rules)

You agree not to use the Doduno Bot to engage in, facilitate, or promote any of the following activities:

  1. Violation of Discord Policies: Any activity that violates the Discord Terms of Service or Community Guidelines, including but not limited to harassment, hate speech, spamming, or promoting illegal content.
  2. Abuse of Service: Misusing the Bot in a manner that excessively burdens the infrastructure, such as rapidly issuing commands, creating command spam, or attempting to exploit any bugs or vulnerabilities.
  3. Unauthorized Access: Attempting to gain unauthorized access to the Bot’s source code, hosting environment, or data beyond what is necessary for its intended use.
  4. Commercial Use: Using the Bot for any commercial purpose (e.g., selling access, placing advertisements, or creating paid services around its functionality) without explicit written permission from the owner.
  5. Impersonation: Impersonating the Bot owner, other staff, or Discord staff.

6. Termination and Enforcement

The owner of the Doduno Bot reserves the right to:

  • Suspend or Terminate Use: Remove the Bot from any server, or restrict any user’s access to the Bot, at any time, for any reason, without notice, especially in cases of violating these Terms or Discord’s policies.
  • Discontinue Service: Temporarily or permanently stop providing the Bot service at any time without liability to you or any third party.

7. Limitation of Liability and Disclaimer

THE BOT IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS.

The owner of Doduno Bot makes no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Bot’s operation, reliability, or that it will be free of errors, viruses, or other harmful components. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot owner shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of, or inability to access or use, the Bot.
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Bot.
  • Any data or content obtained from the Bot.

8. Changes to the Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Bot after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of New Zealand, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
