Professor Noctowl's Raid Research: Tapu Koko
A Scholarly Analysis from the Pokebattler Pokémon Research Institute
Raid Introduction
Hello students! My name is Professor Noctowl, and today, I wish to draw attention to Tapu Koko. As one of the four guardians of the Alola region, Tapu Koko stands out because of the Nature’s Madness charge move, a fairy type move that reduces defense. Grab your notebooks, class is in session. For those who wish to do their research independently, our raw data can be found here. And for those who wish for a simple visual guide, go ahead and take a look at the below visual guide by CaptGoldfish.

Type Effectiveness & Moveset List
As an Electric Fairy type, Tapu Koko is only weak to Poison and Ground. However, note how it double resists Dragon types. Even if your counter has a Poison or Ground typing, if it is a Dragon dual type, it would be safest to leave it at home.

CloudyRaid Conclusion
Overall, Tapu Koko is unique in its niche. Nature’s Madness makes it interesting enough to be worth a catch, even for prosperity. As for countering it, any Poison or Ground type (a dual typing is bonus points, but besides my point) should do the trick. Of course, if you wish to do more research on your box’s best Pokémon for the job, Pokebattler.com itself can be a great help! Remember, the best counter is the one you have powered up and ready to go. I grant extra credit to those who use their best friend bonus and the weather to their advantage. Class dismissed!
