Registeel – The Iron Pokemon.
Registeel is a member of the Legendary Titans/Golems from Hoenn. These Pokemon all have design elements inspired by Braille, which was incorporated in a puzzle you had to solve to obtain them in console games.
They are infamous for their incredible defensive stats.
Registeel is weak to : Fighting, Ground, and Fire Damage.
Generally speaking, the best counters for it are:
Chandelure, Moltres, and (Legacy) Blaziken.

Registeel In the Meta
Raid Meta – Metal Claw + Flash Cannon
To be frank, Registeel is not a good attacker. While the other Regi’s have a niche they can call home- the way Pokemon stats are calculated in Pokemon Go betrays it here. In the original games all of the Regis had ludicrous numbers in the games two defensive Stats (Special Defense, Physical Defense) which are combined into one in Pokemon Go. Regice has Special Defense, Regirock has Physical Defense, and Registeel had a more balanced combination of both. The thing is, Pokemon Go has a 7/8 bias towards whichever stat was the highest, so Pokemon with balanced stats are punished.
Basically, this means Registeel isn’t even that amazing defensively despite being a Regi. It’s not useful sadly.

Raltz nest, and were featured in Aug-2019’s community day. They are a decently accessible spawn in cloudy weather and also hatch from 10k eggs. In addition, Kirlia is no stranger to 2-star raids. They do not however nest. This family hatches from 10K eggs. Kirlia was last a raid boss 8/31/2019. It was last in Raids 46 days ago.

Mamoswine evolves from Swinub which is a nesting species that has been in raids in the past. Swinub can also be found in Nests. It does however require a Sinnoh Stone to evolve which can be acquired randomly from your first trainer battle every day. Swinub has gotten a community day (February 2019) and was also featured in Christmas events. Finally, Swinub can also spawn in the pool of Pokemon from Glacial Lure Modules, which you can get from the shop for 200 coins. This family hatches from 2K eggs. Swinub currently can be found in nests.

Closing Thoughts
Registeel is going to only be around a couple days, so be sure to snag one of these rarely available pokemon while you can! It isn’t a good attacker or defender, but this big golem blob is unlikely to overstay its welcome.
